MSS contributed to the research & modeling of torque motor magnetic hysteresis related to the Goodrich VDVP as well as the design of a novel hysteresis compensator.

MSS contributed to this R&D effort by developing a real-time thermodynamic model of a gas turbine engine. MSS used this engine model to develop an optimized transient engine torque response control strategy taking full advantage of the engine variable geometry.
As a result of MSS’ contribution, the following patents were obtained:
