MSS was requested by Pratt & Whitney Canada to assist on the Norwegian Skjold Class Military Fast Boat/Pratt & Whitney ST-18 Marine Gas Turbine program. MSS responsibilities included:
- Design & implementation of the engine control logic
Definition of software requirements
Design of logic pictures using SIMULINK
- Development & validation of the propulsion non-real time model
- Non-real time closed loop testing in SIMULINK
- Customer support engine testing at the shipyard
- Development of documentation for:
Control software function description
Software release notes
Control system validation test plan
